OH, boy does this faucet rock . . . super cool looking, works like a charm, with ONE small exception.
The aerator that comes installed in this is too high of a flow (too high Gallons-Per-Minute), so it’s a bit “splashy” . . . as in, the water hits your hands/dishes and splashes all over the counter (more than a sink should).
It’s an easy fix though . . . using the supplied tool to unscrew the faucet tip. Then replace tom thumb sized aerator with a 1.5 GPM rated aerator. $10 from Home Depot (with shipping).
Make that quick fix and . . . BAM! Beautiful, splash-free water flowing forever after.
I love the way this looks. The stretch is not long, but long enough. The hose does come off its base easily, but has not caused any problems yet.A
After 7 months of use I must say, you have to love the looks of this to put up with it’s shananagens. I do love the looks, but the faucet loves to jump off its pedistal to scare you and everything it comes near.
So far so good with this faucet. Plumber said it seemed of high quality and didn’t foresee it being a problem for the next few years. It’s very heavy and shiny, looks great in our kitchen. Gold part next to chrome is definitely more yellow brassy than I expected but it doesn’t look bad or cheap. It looks and feels like a high end designer faucet. Only feature I would change is the way the pull down Nozel fits back into its latch. It’s very heavy and you need two hands to unlatch and then re attach which is a problem when one hand is soapy or dirty and you don’t want to use it to touch the faucet.
