The principle of Hot & Cold Water Taps – How does Hot and Cold Water Work
How does hot and cold water work? In fact, there are three holes at the bottom of the spindle of the hot/cold tap: one for controlling the flow of cold water in and out, one for controlling the flow of hot water in, and one for controlling the water in the spindle. In order to regulate the water temperature accurately, the hot and cold holes of the hot/cold tap’s spool are sealed. The spool controls the water temperature by rotating the two holes closed.
For example, the hole on the left is the hot water outlet and the hole on the right is the cold water outlet. When we screw the handle to the left, the movement of the ceramic spool is driven to make the hot water hole completely Converted. Hot water is the mouth to the right, cold water hole is open, hot water hole is closed, cold water comes out naturally. Hot water is the mouth to the right, the cold water hole is open, the hot water hole is closed, the cold water will come out naturally. When we twist the handle to the middle, both the cold and hot water holes are open and closed, naturally, it is warm water.
Hot and cold water faucet installation method:
1. Check accessories
When a hot and cold water faucet is purchased, the first thing you need to do is to check the components first. Especially if you buy in bulk, you need to know what parts the faucet consists of.
2. Installation of the water inlet hose
After checking the fittings, the second step is to install the water inlet hose. Place the plastic pad from the faucet into the single hole in the sink, then apply glassine to prevent leaks and pass the water intake hose through the single hole in the sink. It is then connected to the faucet body and swiveled to secure.Install the other hose in the same steps as above. Insert the threaded connector into the lower end of the hose and connect it to the faucet body.
3. Fix the faucet
After installing the water inlet hoses, the third step is to secure the faucet.Insert the white rubber pad and the lower end of the water inlet hose, then insert the lock nuts into the lower ends of the two water inlet hoses. Rotate the lock nut sleeve to secure the hose to the single-hole basin and tighten it.
4. Connect the water inlet and drain.
Once you’ve fixed the faucet, you can connect the inlet and the outlet. Also remember that the inlet hose corresponds to the left side of the cold side or the left side of the hot side. Also remember that the inlet hose corresponds to the left side of the cold side or the hot side. The right side is for cold water.
