I tried cleaning the old sprayer head with vinegar and a scrub, but it seemed to make no difference. Some of the tiny spray holes seemed determined to spray at odd angles. So, rather than keep fighting it, I replaced it with this one. Screw off the old, screw on the new, problem solved. I’m very pleased.
The one I bought was reduced to $6.37 which makes it an incredible value. I can’t speak to longevity, but in the first day of ownership, it performs very well in all three modes. The shape and brushed nickel finish match the existing faucet very well. Even at $11.99, it would be a very good purchase providing it doesn’t break in the first few months. The aerated single stream is well-controlled, and almost of constant width, and the multi-stream spray does its job as it should. The spray blade pattern is good for rinsing food off of plates, but does produce a lot of airborne mist at full volume.
Since the sink was new, I hated the head that it came with. The button on it to switch from stream to spray never did work right. This new product give me a whole new appreciation for our sink in the house and I bought one for the trailer as the old one limed over during the winter. It also has a super spray feature that I didn’t even know it had until I put it on. It’s awesome!
