Beautiful polished brass faucet with a high arch. I’m going to list the cons below, but I would definitely buy this again, even if I knew these cons before hand.
Here are the cons:
The magnet that attaches the hose to the holder isn’t as strong as I’d like. If you move the faucet using anything other than the spot where the magnet is, the hose will fall off into the sink. This can get water everywhere if the faucet was on and can kink the hose close to the base of the sink.
The button to turn on the sprayer is VERY loosely screwed in. You have to screw it back in at least once a week. It doesn’t feel very natural using the button either. It is shaped like a button that is meant to be pushed, but it actually slides. This means your finger pushes against the narrow edge of the button, rather than down on the flat top of the button.
The thin arch on the inside of the faucet is very wobbly. There doesn’t seem to be anyway to tighten this part either. I am a little nervous it might just break off at some point.
Like any polished metal, it should be dried to prevent water spots. That doesn’t bother me because I just wipe it down with a damp then a dry microfiber cloth. If you’re the kind of person that will be bothered by that, keep that in mind before you buy.
Keep in mind the depth of your sink. My sink is pretty shallow (1940s porcelain sink) so I can’t have the sprayer on full blast when the hose is in its default position. If I do, water splatters everywhere. I knew that going in buying a tall faucet, so it doesn’t bother me. I just turn the water on half way.
The reviews complained that the handle was all white instead of with the blue and gold embelishments shown in the photos. So, I kind of sold myself on the all-white handle. Then, of course, I end up getting the faucet as pictured with the blue and gold. So you have no idea which handle you’ll get! Haha!
This faucet is great! Sturdy, and better quality than more expensive faucets. Some people complained about the color, and size? It is gold, and tall. Do not be a moron and order a tall gold faucet, then complain about the size and color!
My wife and I were blown away by how gorgeous this faucet was. It’s true that the color is a much deeper gold than depicted but we really love how dramatic it is. Ours didn’t have the little pattern on the ceramic handle, which I prefer without anyway so that worked great. The feel of the faucet is sturdy and seems like a good weight. We have glossy white wooden countertops so the faucet really paired well with the rest of the kitchen.
My only complaint is the control for the “spray mode”, it has seemingly random behavior about 10% of the time, 90% of the time, it works the way you need it to
